Our guest, Mustafa Sherif, Urban Planner and Studio Manager at AFRY Stockholm, talks about “Childfriendly Cities” – places that are not only designed for children, but planned together with them. In his presentation he shows that: planning with children creates better cities for everyone.

In addition, we present three inspiring cases from our agency  that show how children can be involved in planning and design:

  • The KlimaWaldWeg Hainfeld – an adventure trail for families/school classes that uses gamification to make climate knowledge a playful experience. Here, learning becomes an adventure, design becomes a mediator and the forest becomes a classroom.
  • Teens4Change Korneuburg – young people put their home town’s sustainability to the test and show what has already been achieved – and where there is still potential.
  • K!SA-Periscope – What starts as a playful change of perspective becomes a valuable planning tool – for safe, child-friendly streets and spaces, and more awareness in everyday life.

The webinar rethinks urban planning – as participatory, empathetic and future-oriented process. The breakfast talk will be moderated by our communication and urban design experts, Lida Moldovan and Claas Bischof.
